Our Story:

We are parents of two boys with nut allergies. Like so many families, we wanted to help our children navigate their dietary needs with confidence, but we quickly realized the "solutions" out there didn't fit our reality.

The daily grind of measuring tiny, precise doses at home—while juggling a chaotic family life—was stressful, messy, and prone to error. We often found ourselves thinking:

There has to be a better way.

Drawing on our technical backgrounds in science and engineering, we set out to solve this personal challenge. We wanted a solution that removed the guesswork, the scales, and the worry.

The result? The smarter way to snack.
We created a melt-in-the-mouth bite made from just two ingredients: Milk + Nut.

These bites are designed for real life. They deliver a precise, standardized amount of nut protein in a texture that is safe and easy for kids to eat.

Why Milk and Nuts together?
We chose this pairing for a reason. While nuts are a powerhouse of nutrition, they can be high in oxalates. Science shows that pairing oxalate-rich foods (like nuts) with calcium-rich foods (like milk) at the same time helps bind the oxalates in the stomach before they reach the kidneys. This simple synergy promotes better kidney health and reduces the risk of calcium-oxalate stones—making our bites a healthier choice for growing bodies.

Precision Nutrition for Every Family
Whether you are looking for a clean-label healthy snack or a tool to support a specific dietary protocol—such as Oral Immunotherapy (OIT)—our bites provide the exact consistency you need. No measuring, no mess, just peace of mind.

Our mission is simple: to use our experience and exact standards to give families the tools they need to navigate their food journey with safety, science, and a little less stress.

Why Hero’s Little Steps is Different
We are a family of four—two boys, both with nut allergies. We started the Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) program early, hopeful for the protection it provides. But as we quickly learned, the science of OIT is the easy part; the logistics of OIT are where the real challenge lies When we looked for help, we found plenty of products designed for Early Introduction (babies just starting allergens). But there was a massive gap for families like ours: kids in the OIT Up dosing and the Maintenance Phase. As University Professors and researchers, we... Read more...
